EAPLC 2020 judging commences

The entries are in at the European Aquatic Plant Layout Contest after the submission period finished on the 31st of January.

The categories are Nano, Medium, Large, Paludarium and Wabikusa, with the entries being judged by none other than Dave Chow (ADA IAPLC winner,) Filipe Oliveira, George Farmer,

Jörg Buhlmann, Jurijs Jutjajevs, Adam Paszczela, Ralf Gerlach and Viktor Lantos.

Entries are judged on Total Impression (90%), Plants (5%), Photography skills (3%) and Artistic creativity (2%)

Only entries from people living within geographical Europe are allowed, but they can enter the tank that they also entered into 2019’s ADA IAPLC. This is clever because most people only have one decent home scape per year, and coming after the IAPLC, it doesn’t disqualify entrants from entering both contests.

In 2018 the contest increased the number of categories, which they say means better, fairer judging.

Mark the 18th of April 2020 in your calendars as that’s when the results are officially announced in Germany.
