Introducing The Freshwater Network: Your New Fishkeeping Podcast

A new video podcast is launching that will discuss all aspects of freshwater tropical fish.

Called The Freshwater Network, the livestream is the brainchild of Max Pedley and Jeremy Gay, who craved a frank, funny but informative podcast where like-minded fishkeepers could kick back, watch, listen, and join the conversation on everything to do with freshwater fishkeeping, from new species to breeding, equipment, experts and more.

The Freshwater Network will be a new sister channel to The Reefers Network, a highly successful, growing livestream that airs every Friday night on YouTube. Created and owned by Tom Brooke, TRN combines light-hearted fun with cutting-edge reef aquarium practices and features experts and leading brands from all over the world.

Reef meets

The Reefers Network members meet up too, in aquatic shops or at exhibitions, where the camaraderie and friendship have become even stronger. It’s thanks to Tom Brooke that The Freshwater Network has been created, in the hope that a freshwater version will bring fishkeepers together online in a similar way, offering an informative and positive contribution to freshwater fishkeeping.

Fishkeeping Experts

The Freshwater Network is recruiting panellists and experts to join them every Sunday night from 7-9 pm GMT. Whether its cichlids, characins, cypriniids, catfish, expeditions, export or breeding, fanatical fishkeepers are being called upon to comment and contribute, and to join in the fun.

The Launch Episode airs on Sunday, the 1st of February, 2026, at 7 PM GMT.
